Weekend Workshop

Welcome to Craft De Eyre’s first blog.We are really excited to be hosting some fantastic quality workshops here at Craft De Eyre, and to now be able to share some of the things we are doing with the wider community via the web. Our most recent quilting workshop being held on the first weekend in July 2010. WOW what a workshop, the fantastic weekend was held at Craft De Eyre Ceduna. We were privelaged to be led by the enspiring and motivating award winning quilter Elizabeth Camping.

Day one saw a workshop buzzing with anticipation and excitement, the array of schemes were truly amazing. Coral seas was the quilt of the day and all participants managed to complete their quilt tops. Following this blog are some pictures of the weekend so enjoy.

Saturday night had a good crowd awestruck by the brilliance of Elizabeth Camping’s work,from the traditional designs and prints to the up to date modern fabrics and designs. We were lucky enough to enjoy Elizabeth’s trunk showand be even more motivated ready for Saturday’s workshop.

Day 2 saw a more challenged group eager to master the Elizabeth Camping design of Tessilated Flowers. Most of these quilts were completed in beautiful Batiks all though not all and again a large range of colour schemes were there to be enjoyed.

To sum the weekend up, we at Craft De Eyre would have to say thank you Elizabeth for an inspiring, motivating workshop that was fun and easy to learn. To all those that participated we thank you for your contribution to lots of fun, laughter and learning and we cannot wait for the next workshop.

NEW NEWS

WOW we are so excited, we have just confirmed our first ever stall at the Adelaide Quilt &Craft Fair in November 2010. The dates are the 4th -7th November. This will be a fantastic opportunity to meet all those wonderful quilters and crafters that we have had the pleasure of speaking with on the phone and of course meeting new customers to. This is very exciting for us as we live so far away we don’t always get the opportunity to meet face to face. We will have some great block of the months to offer and a few new suprises too so please come and see us and make yourselves known to us. There will be myself (Jo), Elaine (mum) and my sisiter Jenny looking forward to it. Will keep you posted with what products we will be showcasing.
